ALIGHIERI SCHOOL

Dante
Alighieri is a secondary school. Students
attend it from the age of eleven to thirteen. It
consists of three years (first class, second and
third). At the end of the third year students have
to pass an exam.
It is in Turin, the capital of Piedmont in the North-West
of Italy.
Its a big school and it consists of three
different buildings, one at 80 Pacchiotti Street,
one at 13 Passoni Street and one at 66 Capelli Street.
The buildings are surrounded by trees and shool
grounds.
The headmisstress is Mrs Silvana Paterlino.
Pupils study Italian, History, Geography, Maths,
Science, English, French, Art, Technology, Religion,
Physical Education and Music. They also attend Computer
Studies laboratory once a week. They go to school
from Monday to Friday: lessons start at 7.55 and
finish at 13.25.
They also have lessons and laboratories in the afternoon,
once or twice a week. When they have afternoon lessons
they eat in the school canteen and they come back
home at 16.05. The lunch break lasts about an hour.
In Italy pupils dont have to wear uniforms.School
starts in September and ends at the beginning of
June. |
